For Northeast Employees to be able to receive text messages from LiveSafe, our new Campus Alert system, you are required to have a phone type of Personal Cell Phone.
You can confirm you have a “Personal Cell Phone” type or update your “Personal Cell Phone” number through your profile in General Self Service here:

If you have a Phone Number type of Personal Cell Phone, and the phone number is accurate, there is no further action needed.

You DO NOT need to have your personal cell phone number marked as “Primary” to be able to get LiveSafe text message notifications.
If you need/want to add a Personal Cell Phone to your contact to receive text messages via LiveSafe, you can do this by following these steps:
Click add New:

Choose Personal Cell Phone:

Enter your phone number and click add:

This will get a personal cell phone number added to Banner and can start receiving text messages via LiveSafe the next day.
