What Is It?

A security exception form is a documented process that allows individuals or organizations to request an exemption from established information technology (IT) and information security policies, standards, and practices. These exceptions are typically granted when strict compliance is not feasible due to specific circumstances.

Where Can I Get It?

A new request can be made by clicking the Security Exception Request button on the right.

How Do I Use It?

Fill out the security exception form, make sure to complete all the required fields with as much detail as possible.

NOTE: This form should only be submitted by the requesting employees manager. Any form not submitted by a manager will be denied with a request for resubmission by the manager.

What Can I Expect?

  • Security Review

The security committee will carefully assess the request and make a decision based on the information provided. Their evaluation will consider both the details provided and the potential risk associated with granting the exception. Ultimately, their decision will aim to balance security requirements with the operational needs of Northeast Community College.
