AAHB-133 Classroom Technology Use

How to get Started:

  1. Log in to the computer
  2. Turn on the projector(s) by clicking the power button on the top left of the remote

To use the Document Camera:

  1. There is a remote in the instructor drawer that also controls the document camera
  2. Power on the document camera
  3. Once powered on, click the icon on the document camera that looks like a laptop
  4. Open the “ImageMate” application that is on the desktop of the PC
  5. The document camera has recording capabilities, you will need to click on the blue video icon in the PC application and select where to save the video

To use the SMARTBoard:

  1. The SMARTBoard can only be written on when the PC is set to Duplicate

To use the DVD/VCR Player:

  1. Turn on the DVD/VCR Player by pressing the power button on the bottom left corner
  2. Switch the projector input to “Video” by pressing the Source button

When Completed:

  1. Sign out of the computer
  2. Turn off the DVD/VCR Player
  3. If the DVD/VCR player was used, change the projector input back to HDMI1
  4. Turn off the projector(s) by clicking the power button on the top left of the remote
  5. Turn off the document camera by holding down the power button

Troubleshooting:

Projector Issues:

  • Display
    • Assure that the display source is set to HDMI 1
      • This can be done by cycling through the sources using the “Source Search” button on the top right of the remote
    • Assure that all the cables are properly plugged into the computer
  • Audio
    • Assure that the projector isn’t muted by increasing the volume
  • Power
    • Go to the projector(s) and press the power button on the bottom of the projector

Computer Issues:

  • Display
    • Assure that the Project settings on the computer are set to “Extend” or “Duplicate”
      • For Extend, press Windows Key + P then click “Extend”Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
      • For Duplicate, right click on the background of the desktop then click Display SettingsUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
      • Click on the monitor with 2 on it
      • Click on the bottom right drop-down box and select “Duplicate desktop on 2 and 3”Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
      • Select “Keep Changes” on the pop-up window
  • Audio
    • Assure that the Sound Output is set to the projector(s)
      • This can be done by clicking on the Media Center (button with the Wi-Fi and Sound icons in them)
      • Click on the Sound Output button next to the volume slider
      • Select “NP-ME403U (Intel® Display Audio)”
