Student or faculty receive access denied message when viewing a Kaltura My Media video in Canvas.

Possible Causes

  • Corrupted cache
  • Third-party cookies not allowed
  • Browser extension

Step-by-Step Solutions

  • Have the student refresh the browser by pushing CTRL + F5 (on PC) or SHIFT + refresh button in the browser (on Mac). 
  • Clear cookies and cache for all time.
  • Try Incognito. 
  • Try another browser, preferably one they don't use.
  • Check for extensions, disabling one at a time and testing to determine which one.
  • Make sure third-party cookies are allowed.
