Description

The Workforce Training Building will be located near the current College Center building on the east part of the South Sioux City campus. The new building will be approximately 30,000 square feet, although the final square footage will depend upon the final programming as determined by the Project Team. It is anticipated that programs such as construction trades, drafting, industrial automation robotics, and mechanical foundations will be programmed in this building, although other programs may be added or substituted depending upon the needs of the region as determined by the Project Team after reviewing applicable data. The total preliminary cost estimate for this project is $10,774,528, which includes all instructional equipment, furnishings and technology. Although it is anticipated that federal ARPA funds as appropriated by the State, as well as donations, will be used to partially fund this project, the remaining cost will be paid by using public tax dollars, so a Program Statement for the CCPE will likely be needed.
