Getting Started
1. Powering On the Display
- Locate the touchscreen control panel near the instructor station.
- Touch the screen to wake it and turn on the display.
- Wait for the display to fully initialize (usually 5–10 seconds).
2. Using the Instructor PC
- The Wall HDMI input should be selected by default.
- Sign in to the Instructor PC using your Northeast account.
- The primary monitor acts as your private screen. The secondary monitor is your presentation screen, mirrored to the classroom display.
- Use the volume controls at the bottom of the touchscreen to control audio: Mute, Volume Down, Volume Up.
- When finished, press the Power Off button in the bottom-right corner of the touchscreen to turn off the room.
3. Using the Document Camera on the presentation display
- Ensure the document camera is powered on. (Blue power light)
- Launch the software ‘Easy Interactive Tool.’
- The first time you open the software; it may have the whiteboard maximized on your primary monitor. Click the restore icon on the top right corner of the whiteboard to change it so it is not maximized. Note any messages and click ok.
- Click the ‘Tool’ Menu and select ‘Settings…’ to bring up the main settings, there are many options to customize on your profile. The first option you might want to change is on the ‘Enlarge Screen’ tab, for the ‘Use Screen Settings’ section, check to make sure that ‘Secondary Display’ is selected and click ok. This will force the whiteboard and the camera tools over to the presentation display.
- Click the ‘Tool’ Menu and select ‘Camera…’ to bring up the camera window. The Camera source should be ‘Epson ELPDC21’. You can now maximize the window to make it fill out on the presentation display.
4. Connecting a Personal Device via AirMedia
- Tap the AirMedia button on the touchscreen to switch the instructor source.
- A message will appear in the bottom-left corner of the classroom display: “Present Wireless – To present visit: macl-XXXX.northeast.edu”
- Open a web browser and enter the provided URL address.
- On the Crestron AirMedia page, click Start Presenting.
- If prompted with “This site is trying to open Crestron AirMedia,” check Always allow and click Open.
- The AirMedia app will launch and prompt for a code (displayed on the classroom screen).
- Enter the code and press Enter.
- It may take 10–15 seconds for your device to connect and begin mirroring.
