📖 Introduction to Webex for Mobile Calling
The Webex mobile app (iPhone and Android) lets you make and receive calls using your college phone number.

- Use your college phone number to place and receive calls, keeping your personal number private.
- Access your work contacts and voicemail from anywhere.
- Stay reachable on the go with call functionality over Wi-Fi or cellular data.
📲 Downloading the Webex App (iPhone & Android)
To use your college phone number from your mobile device, first install the Webex app.
Step-by-Step:
Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
Search for "Webex".
Install the version labeled just "Webex" – listed under Business and published by Cisco.
Open the app and sign in with your Northeast credentials (email and password).
📞 Exploring the Webex Calling Screen
Once signed in, you’ll land on the Calling tab, which functions like a mobile desk phone.
What You'll See:
Profile (Top Left): Access settings, status, and account info.
Dialpad (Top Right): Manually enter a number or search the directory.
+ Symbol: Add contacts or call voicemail.
Search: Find Northeast contacts easily (bottom ribbon of app).
Tabs:
Recents: See incoming, outgoing, and missed calls.
Contacts: Sync with work directory and saved contacts.
Voicemail: Listen to messages or read transcriptions.
☎️ Making a Call
To start a call, use the dialpad (top right) or search for a contact.
When in a call, the screen displays several key options:

Mute: Toggle your microphone.
Speaker: Switch between earpiece and speaker.
Keypad: Enter numbers (e.g., for phone menus).
Hold: Put the call on hold. Tap again to resume.
Video: Start or stop your camera (if supported).
Red Hang-Up Button: End the call.
More: Transfer or add another caller.
