Where can I find Turnitin Draft Coach? Where can I find Grammar Check? Where can I find Similarity Check? Where can I find Citation Check?
Draft Coach is the tool that holds Similarity Check, Grammar Check and Citation Check. Users can access this in the web version of Word (not in the desktop version).
To access it, upload or open a document in Word from OneDrive. Wait a few seconds and "Turnitin" menu option will appear. Select this menu and an option for Draft Coach appears in the toolbar. Clicking that opens a window on the right side. You may have to
allow pop-ups
to proceed. After authenticating, accepting terms and providing permissions, you will find 3 tabs, one of each of the tools.
I get an error about authentication with an image of a dog. What do I do?
Click retry again and Draft Coach tools should load.
If that fails, clear cookies/cache, try Incognito, try a different browser.
If that still fails, escalate to CETL (Teaching and Learning).
I don't see Turnitin in the menu
Be sure it's the web version of Word. It doesn’t work with the desktop application or any other Office program.
Be sure to wait several seconds for the menu to load
If that fails, try basic Internet troubleshooting (clear cookies/cache, incognito, different browser).
If that still fails, escalate to CETL (Teaching & Learning)
