1st Time setup of Voicemail

Setup from a handset 

Note: Please refer to pin requirements below before setting new pin.

  •  Press the Voicemail button on your phone handset. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  •  Enter default pin: 235689
  •  Follow prompts to continue setting up your voicemail.

Setup from Cisco Call in Teams

Note: Please refer to pin requirements below before setting new pin.

  • Dial 1000 or click the voicemail icon in the top right corner.

  • When prompted, enter your passcode followed by the # key. (Default passcode: 235689)

  • Follow the prompts to complete your voicemail setup.

Voicemail Pin Requirements:

  •  Must be at least six digits long. Numbers only!
  •  Must not be any of your previous twenty-four PINs.
  •  Must not match the numeric representation of your first or last name.
  •  Must not contain your extension number.
  •  Must not contain single or groups of repeated digits (for example, 228883, 121212, or 408408).
  •  Must not be a numerical sequence (for example, 012345 or 987654).
  •  Must not contain numbers that are dialed in a straight line on the keypad.

 

Voicemail Greeting Setup

  •  Press the Voicemail button
    •   Enter your pin.
    •   Press 1.
    •   Select greeting type to change
      •   Press 2 to change the “busy” greeting
      •   Press 3 to change the “no answer” greeting
      •   Press 4 to change the “extended away” greeting

  Follow prompts to record your respective greeting

*If you only want a single greeting, record only for “no answer”

 

Voicemail Setup for Group Voicemail

Initial setup: 

  • Dial 1000 or press the Voicemail button on the phone. 
  • Press * when prompted to enter Passcode 
  • Enter Mailbox number followed by # 
  • Enter Passcode followed by # (Default is 235689) 
  • Record the name 

Set No Answer greeting: 

  • Dial 1000 or press the Voicemail button on the phone. 
  • Press * when prompted to enter Passcode 
  • Enter Mailbox number followed by # 
  • Enter Passcode that was set above 
  • Press 1 to enter the mailbox 
  • Press 3 to setup the No Answer Greeting
