CONB-140 Classroom Technology Use

This article summarizes how to use the projector, Creston tablet, document camera, sound bar, and tvs in CONB-140.

How to get Started:

1. Log in to the computer
2. Assure that the audio output on the PC is set to the “Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)” to use the wall-mounted soundbar
3. Press the power button for the Creston device to turn it on then click on Presentation PC

To use the Document Camera:

1. Power on the document camera
2. Once powered on, click the icon on the document camera that looks like a laptop
3. Open the “ImageMate” application that is on the desktop of the computer

When Completed:

1. Sign out of the computer
2. Press System Power on the Creston device then press confirm
3. Turn off the document camera by holding down the power button

Troubleshooting:

Projector Issues:

• Display
  • Assure that the display source is set to HDMI 1
    • This can be done by cycling through the sources using the “Source Search” button on the top right of the remote
  • Assure that all the cables are properly plugged into the computer
• Audio
  • Assure that the projector isn’t muted by increasing the volume
• Power
  • Go to the projector(s) and press the power button on the bottom of the projector

Sound Bar:

• Microphone
  • Assure that the “Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)” is selected as the microphone
    • This can be done by going to the media center (the box with the Wi-Fi and speaker icons in it) in the bottom right of the screen
    • Click on the “Sound Output” button next to the volume slider
    • Click on the “more volume settings” at the bottom of the window
    • Scroll down to the Input tile and select “Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)”

Computer Issues:

• Display
  • Assure that the Project settings on the computer are set to “Extend” or “Duplicate”
    • For Extend, press Windows Key + P then click “Extend”
    • For Duplicate, right click on the background of the desktop then click Display Settings
    • Click on the monitor with 2 on it
    • Click on the bottom right drop-down box and select “Duplicate desktop on 2 and 3”
    • Select “Keep Changes” on the pop-up window
