This article describes the process for students to connect to Residence Hall WiFi.

Students will have the ability to connect to the residence hall wifi if they have residence status in the residence halls. For problems or assistance connecting to the residence hall wifi call or text 4025001141 during regular business hours. 

  1. First go to the https://myapps.microsoft.com and sign into your school account by entering your school email, password, then confirming access with MFA. Once signed in, you’ll be taken to the My Apps page.

  1. Locate and click the “Residence Hall WiFi” tile.

  1. Agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking the box next to the “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” text. There are three tabs below the Continue button that will tell you about what information and data is collected about you and the devices signed on to the WiFi connected to your account, the Wireless Terms of Use and User License Agreement/Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy. Once the Terms and Conditions are agreed to then the Continue button can be clicked. This will lead to the WPA2/Guest Registration Portal.

  1. The WPA2/Guest Registration Portal will show what account is currently signed into below the large WPA2/Guest Registration Portal title. In Generate a WPA2 password there’s a green Generate Password button. A first time log in must click this button to generate a password. Clicking on the green eye next to the Generate Password button will reveal the password. This password should be used on a per student basis, only for their devices. When prompted for a password while attempting to connect to the residence hall wifi, use this unique password. This password is a randomly generated, unique password only assigned to your account. When a device uses this password to access the Residence Hall WiFi then that device’s information is added to the devices list at the bottom of the page. If no device is showing then clicking the refresh button on the right side of the page, right above the devices list might make it appear.
    1. This password should not be shared with others as any actions done on these devices connecting to the Residence Hall WiFi will be linked to your account.
    2. All devices logged onto the Residence Hall WiFi account will have the device’s information and network usage tracked and logged.

  1. To reset WiFi account password, click on the Generate Password button. WARNING: THIS WILL REMOVE ALL DEVICES LOGGED ONTO THE WIFI WITH THIS PASSWORD FROM THE ACCOUNT, INCLUDING THE DEVICE RESETING THE PASSWORD. RESIDENCE HALL WIFI ACCESS WILL IMMEDIATELY BE LOST. A new password will be generated. All devices will have to be relogged on to the Residence Hall WiFi with this new password.
